Disgaea 7 Demon Shogi: Full Guide

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is the new version of the Disgaea series, with special characters and strategic activities.

Demon Shogi is available once you have completed episode 5 in the game.

Demon Shogi is a puzzle minigame inside Disgaea 7 that uses Demonic Intelligence (DI), the game’s combat AI. You can customize your character’s DI to win different turns. This rewards you with various prizes depending on the turns you take to win.

Completing Demon Shogi In Disgaea 7

Demonic Tsume Shogi also known as Demon Shogi is a fun and challenging minigame in Disgaea 7 that is like chess and played on a board.

Players can move the pieces around the board. Each piece has its own movement and attack capabilities.

You need to complete Demon Shogi to unlock Land of Carnage. However, this is entirely different than the normal mode.

Players need to alter the Demonic Intelligence in the demon shogi in different stages for the characters.

Disgaea 7 Demon Shogi All Classes 

There are five different stages to complete in Disgaea 7 Demon Shogi where players can collect all the rewards possible during the process.

Here are all the classes that are available in Disgaea 7 Demon Shongi:

1. Prinny Class

In Prinny class, players have a normal fighter named Blaine and a female fighter named Tess.

For the demonic intelligence setup of Blaine, at first set the enemy forces, move toward the target, lift it up and then throw.

Similarly, for the lady fighter, firstly there are ally forces, then lift, reset target, target enemy forces and throw.

2. Demon Class

In this class, players have a single Archer unit and need to kill three enemies.

Players can take advantage of his unique evilities: Potential energy increases attack power by 30% when attacking from a higher elevation.

The demonic intelligence of this character includes:

1. Select Panel(18,17)
2. Move toward target
3. Reset Target
4. Select Panel(16,18)
5. Finally, use Zielregan to kill everything.

3. Demon Lord Class

In this class, players can control three zombie units which consist of a zombie, a ghoul and a corpse unit along with six enemy units, two slumber cats, two shrooms and two orcs.

To tackle this stage, you can hit their weakness when it comes to the elements.

For the corpse, set this up to target the slumber cats, move to the farthest valid attack range and use the mega ice to kill them off.

Similarly, for the ghoul, it uses the same layout. However, instead of a sleeping cat it uses an Orc. Other elements remain the same as the corpse.

Additionally, for the zombie, it is a little bit different. You can first target the shroom, move to the farthest valid attack range and use mega-fire.

4. Overload Class

In the Overload class, players have two fighters and a psychic. Firstly, you are going to look at the psychic.

The demonic intelligence of the Psychic named Lucky is as follows:

1. Wait until other units have acted
2. Target the geo symbol
3. Move toward the target
4. Lift the geo symbol
5. Reset Target
6. Target Panel (19,13)
7. Throw Geo Symbol

Then, target Ida, one of the Valkyries, for her demonic intelligence. You can set the DI as follows:

1. Target panel (19,22)
2. Move toward the target
3. Lift
4. Reset the target
5. Target panel (18,20)
6. Throw

Then, for the final Valkyrie named Celine.

1. Wait until other units have acted (three turns)
2. Target Panel (12,20)
3. Move toward target
4. Reset target
5. Target enemy forces
6. Then, use a secret slash

5. Super Overload Class

This is the highest tier, and you need to clear this to unlock the land of Carnage. For the final demon shogi, players have three Armon Knites and a dragon to beat.

However, the dragon is on enemy boost plus 50% and the enemy level is up 10%.

This class has five characters: a warrior, a male samurai, a female samurai, a mage and a sorcerer.

All of these characters have different demonic intelligences for them.

1. Warrior: Troy

First, for the warrior named Troy: Wait until other units have acted (5 turns). Then move to Panel (21,19).

Further, move toward the target then reset the target. After that target the dragon, lift, again reset the target and select a female armor knight.

Finally, throw the target.

2. Sorcerer: Scarlet

For the Sorcerer named Scarlet, you need to wait until other units have acted until G.

Then, target the enemy forces, move toward the target, and use a Death Wish.

3. Male Mage: Manny

For the DI of male mage, players can immediately target the base panel (20,21). Then move toward the target, reset target and target panel (20,19).

Lastly, you can use slumber.

4. Male Samurai: Slammajamma

For the male samurai, you need to wait until other units have acted once.

Then, you can target panel(23,19), move toward the target, reset the target and then target the female armor knight.

After this, lift the armored knight up, reset the target and select the panel (20,19). Finally, at last, throw.

5. Female Samurai: Meredith

For this, wait until 3 turns to have other units acted. Then, select panel(22,19), move toward the target and reset the target.

Focus on the enemy forces, lift and again reset the target. Then, select panel(20,19) and at last throw the unit.

Players can enjoy this minigame as many times as they want when they need a break from saving the world in Disgaea.

Overall, with the unique Demonic Intelligence of each character, players can easily complete the Disgaea 7 Demon Shogi.
